| The Amazing HUMAN BODY EXHIBITION is a first of it's kind exhibit in which guests learn about anatomy, physiology and health by viewing real human specimens, preserved through an amazing scientific method called "Plastination". The exhibition features more than 400 authentic human specimens including 18 aesthetically posed whole body specimens along with individual organs and transparent slices. Until now this type of real anatomical detailed display was the sole domain of medical students and practitioners. ![]() The exhibition aims to inform the public about the value of healthy lifestyle choices and the consequences of harmful habits. Side by side comparative display of healthy & diseased specimens - with various ailments caused by smoking, cancer and high blood pressure will graphically illustrate this point. The exhibition is designed and set up in such a way that you can easily explore each body system at a time. Find out how the locomotive, nervous, respiratory, cardivascular, digestive and reproductive systems all function. Informative audio - visual presentations show how the body works or fails in disease. The Amazing HUMAN BODY EXHIBITION has been touring since 2005, and is pleased to be visiting Melbourne for the first time! To date, over 20 million people worldwide have experienced such "similar" exhibitions. For information regarding the Plastination technique, please visit the Plastination Section.
